The Role

As a Malayalam Language Specialist, you will review AI-generated Malayalam content and create high-quality reference answers. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, prompt adherence, meaning preservation, register, logical consistency, and overall quality.

You will also write rewrites and model answers, fact-check claims when needed, and compare multiple AI responses to identify the strongest result. The work requires careful judgment across formal and informal writing and different regional contexts.

• Review Malayalam AI outputs for language quality, correctness, and cultural fit
• Write precise feedback, rewrites, and gold-standard Malayalam answers
• Compare and rate model responses for fluency, fidelity, tone, and safety
• Identify mistranslations, awkward literal phrasing, hallucinations, bias, and policy-risk language

Requirements

This role is listed at the entry level, while the work requires demonstrated language-focused experience and strong written judgment. Candidates should be able to explain quality differences clearly in English and produce polished Malayalam content.

A background in linguistics, Malayalam or English literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field is welcome, as is equivalent experience. Prior AI data training, translation quality assurance, editorial quality assurance, or rubric-based evaluation experience is strongly preferred.

• Native or near-native Malayalam reading and writing ability
• Strong professional English proficiency at C1 level or higher
• Strong command of Malayalam grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and register
• 3+ years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or similar work
• Strong judgment regarding grammar, tone, register, and cultural appropriateness
• Ability to compare AI-generated responses and explain quality differences
• Ability to fact-check claims and rewrite misleading wording safely
• Strong English communication for detailed written feedback
