About AI training work

AI training (data labeling and human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people annotate, evaluate, and correct model outputs so next-generation models learn from better examples. Contributors do this work remotely and often with flexible schedules, making it an accessible way to join a fast-growing tech field.

This role focuses on text evaluation in Malayalam: your judgments and written feedback will be used to improve model behavior and the quality of future responses.

The role

You will review Malayalam AI-generated responses and evaluate them for factual accuracy, reasoning quality, clarity, tone, and completeness. After reviewing, you will write concise, consistent evaluation reports in English that explain strengths, errors, and suggested improvements.

This is a remote contract role, expected to require 20+ hours per week. OpenTrain AI hires worldwide; you must be a native Malayalam speaker with strong English writing skills.

What you'll do

• Read and evaluate AI-generated Malayalam responses for factual accuracy, reasoning, clarity, tone, and completeness.
• Compare multiple model responses when prompted and choose which is better, explaining your rationale.
• Produce clear, consistent written evaluation feedback in English that can be used to improve models.
• Follow annotation guidelines and maintain high consistency across evaluations.

Requirements

• Native fluency in Malayalam and strong proficiency in written English.
• Bachelor's degree (required).
• Significant experience using large language models.
• Strong attention to detail and structured analytical judgment.
• Experience with RLHF, model evaluation, or data annotation is a plus.
• Experience writing or editing high-quality content is helpful.

Compensation & logistics

Pay: $15–$20 per hour (typical hourly rate $20). This is a contract, part-time role.

Time commitment: 20+ hours per week. Work remotely from anywhere; OpenTrain AI hires worldwide.

Data type: text. Labeling tasks include evaluation ratings, RLHF-style judgments, and question-answering assessments.
