About this role
OpenTrain is hiring a Macroeconomic Modeling Specialist to build, validate, and automate advanced macroeconomic models in EViews. The work centers on time-series forecasting, diagnostics, and translating statistical results into practical economic insights and concise written reports. You will collaborate remotely, support broader economic narratives and policy recommendations, and keep modeling workflows efficient and scalable.

What You Will Do
- Design and implement VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration models in EViews.
- Run diagnostics, stability checks, and validation to test forecast reliability.
- Automate forecasting workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Turn complex statistical output into clear insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document modeling methods and results in concise written reports.
- Contribute modeling results to broader economic narratives and policy recommendations.

Required Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience with EViews, including scripting and automation.
- Proven ability to build, estimate, and validate time-series models.
- Strong understanding of diagnostics, stability tests, and forecasting accuracy measures.
- Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven remote collaboration and strong attention to detail.

Helpful Background
- Advanced degree in Economics, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience supporting central banks, policy institutions, or financial sector clients.
- Familiarity with R, Python, or Stata.
