The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an M&A Legal AI Training Attorney to support AI training focused on M&A legal document review. You will work with M&A scenarios, transaction documents, and legal research materials to help AI systems learn from structured legal expertise and clear written feedback.

Prior AI training experience is not required. The core qualification is strong real-world knowledge of M&A and corporate law, combined with the ability to analyze legal materials carefully and communicate complex reasoning clearly.

What You'll Do

You will analyze M&A and corporate law scenarios, review transaction documents, and provide written insights that improve legal accuracy and real-world relevance. Your feedback will help refine datasets, evaluation rubrics, and quality assurance practices.

The work requires consistent application of project guidelines across repeated review tasks. You will explain your judgments and reasoning in enough detail for your feedback to support measurable improvements in model behavior.

Required Qualifications

This role requires substantial professional or academic expertise in M&A legal document review. Candidates must have a Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and active admission to a US bar.

Experience practicing as an M&A attorney at an Am Law 100 or other leading US law firm is preferred. Strong backgrounds in M&A transactions, private equity, corporate advisory work, and corporate or transactional litigation are relevant to the work.
