You will apply M&A judgment to simulated negotiations, contract redlining exercises, and AI-generated responses. This is a worldwide, remote contractor opportunity conducted in English, with part-time work of 20 or more hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will translate practical contract expertise into consistent, clearly explained feedback that helps AI systems improve their precision and legal judgment. The work combines simulated legal practice with structured evaluation of model performance.

  • Perform simulated M&A contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
  • Review AI responses to contract scenarios for accuracy, risk identification, and legal reasoning.
  • Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for AI performance on contract tasks.
  • Refine legal-review data, guidelines, and best practices with product and research collaborators.
  • Explain contract judgments clearly and provide actionable feedback.
  • Evaluate legal responses consistently across contract-review scenarios.

Requirements

This role requires substantial legal training and corporate M&A experience. Candidates should be able to assess contract language carefully, identify legal and commercial risk, and communicate their reasoning in a clear and consistent way.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active admission to at least one U.S. state bar or other U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least two years of M&A experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm.
  • Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including asset purchase agreements and stock purchase agreements.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated legal responses and explain contract judgments clearly.

Helpful Background

Experience with private equity firms, legal technology, AI, or training initiatives is helpful. Experience collaborating across legal, product, and research disciplines can also support success in this role.
