The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an M&A Legal AI Training Associate to apply advanced legal judgment to the development and evaluation of AI-generated legal content. You will work with realistic mergers and acquisitions scenarios, contracts, and litigation cases while assessing legal principles, transaction risks, and the quality of model outputs.
This opportunity is intended for a practicing or recently practicing US-qualified attorney with recent top-tier law firm experience in M&A and corporate transactions.

What You’ll Do
You will combine transaction experience, legal research, and clear communication to evaluate and improve content used in AI training. The work may involve both generating high-quality examples and reviewing model-produced material for accuracy, nuance, and practical relevance.
Evaluate and generate high-quality M&A legal content for AI system training
Review transaction scenarios, contracts, and litigation cases for legal principles and risk factors
Research corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity
Assess deal structuring, due diligence, and transaction risk
Provide nuanced legal perspectives and feedback in a remote, multidisciplinary setting
Participate in quality assurance for AI-generated outputs
Draft, edit, and clarify complex legal concepts in accessible written and verbal formats
Apply legal industry best practices to improve project deliverables
Required Qualifications
This role requires substantial professional expertise in corporate transactions and the ability to communicate complex legal analysis with precision. Candidates should be comfortable reviewing legal scenarios, contracts, and AI-generated legal content.
US-qualified attorney with recent top-tier law firm experience in M&A and corporate transactions
Demonstrated expertise in deal structuring, due diligence, and risk assessment
Strong foundation in corporate law, private equity, and related litigation matters
Ability to assess transaction risks and apply sound legal judgment
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Close attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a remote setting
Helpful Background
Experience with legal content review, quality assurance, or training rubrics is beneficial. Familiarity with structured evaluation work can help you provide consistent, actionable feedback on AI-generated legal material.
