The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Corporate Law AI Training Attorney to contribute advanced legal judgment to AI training data development and quality review. You will work with complex legal documents and scenarios involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, corporate governance, and commercial litigation.
This is a remote, part-time contractor role for experienced US legal professionals who can produce accurate written and verbal guidance with strong attention to nuance, consistency, and detail.

What You'll Do
You will apply your corporate law experience to document review, legal analysis, content creation, and quality assurance. Your work will help ensure that AI training materials reflect sound legal reasoning and communicate complex conclusions clearly to both technical and non-legal audiences.
Review, analyze, and annotate complex documents related to M&A, private equity, and capital markets
Evaluate hypothetical and real-world commercial litigation scenarios
Explain legal strategy and potential outcomes
Draft and refine sample agreements, contracts, and corporate governance materials
Provide consistent written feedback on legal issues
Explain advanced legal concepts through concise written and verbal communication
Participate in quality assurance reviews for legal accuracy and relevance
Coordinate with project coordinators as requirements and deliverables evolve
Required Qualifications
This role requires substantial legal training and active professional credentials. Candidates should be able to work independently in a remote contractor environment while maintaining a high standard of legal accuracy and written analysis.
Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school
Active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction
Recent experience as a corporate attorney at a leading US law firm, preferably an AmLaw 100 firm
Expertise across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets
Ability to analyze commercial litigation strategy and potential outcomes
Strong legal research, analysis, drafting, organization, and communication skills
Sound judgment for legal document drafting and annotation
Ability to communicate nuanced legal concepts clearly
Helpful Background
Experience with legal technology, document review, or rubric-based evaluation can help you succeed in this work. However, prior experience working with AI is not required. The role prioritizes substantive legal knowledge and the ability to express precise, nuanced conclusions.
