About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people to hands-on projects that teach AI systems by reviewing, labeling, and improving model outputs.
Working with OpenTrain means contributing to how state-of-the-art AI behaves while enjoying flexible, remote work that fits around your schedule.
About AI Training Work
AI training (data labeling/annotation) is the human side of building modern models: people annotate examples, evaluate outputs, and give precise feedback so models improve. Projects range from transcription and image labeling to coding reviews and RLHF-style evaluation.
This role focuses on evaluating code and explanatory text produced by LLMs for LangChain v2 workflows — a high-impact place to shape developer-focused AI tooling.
The Role
You will analyze AI-generated prompts, code snippets, and explanations related to LangChain v2, labeling and assessing correctness, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
You will also conduct technical screening interviews (AI-driven) for candidates applying to LangChain v2 developer projects, using provided guidelines to probe real-world experience and debugging ability.
- Part-time contractor role, remote, under 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: USD $20 per hour, PAY_PER_HOUR.
- Work involves hands-on code review, structured labeling, and conducting technical interviews per supplied rubric.
What You'll Do
Perform detailed reviews of AI-generated LangChain v2 code and explanations, identify bugs, inefficiencies, and missing optimizations, and provide clear, structured corrective feedback.
Run technical interview sessions (guided by the provided interview checklist) to verify candidates' practical LangChain v2 experience, debugging skills, and communication clarity.
- Label and categorize AI-generated code snippets and explanations for accuracy and best-practice adherence.
- Identify errors in API usage, prompt chaining, memory integration, retrievers, and vector DB interactions.
- Suggest concrete improvements and optimizations for RAG pipelines, declarative agents, callbacks, and prompt performance.
- Present candidates with code snippets or scenarios, ask follow-ups, and score their hands-on debugging and design responses.
- Provide concise, well-structured written feedback suitable for developer audiences.
Requirements
All substantive requirements come from the project guidelines — please ensure you meet them before applying.
This role requires both deep LangChain v2 experience and strong English writing skills because you'll evaluate technical content and communicate feedback to developers.
- 5+ years hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications and structured workflows with LangChain v2 (explicitly required by the project).
- Deep knowledge of prompt chaining, memory modules, retrievers, and vector database integrations.
- Experience integrating LangChain with OpenAI, Hugging Face, or other LLM providers.
- Proven ability to debug LangChain implementations, optimize API calls, and improve RAG/agent workflows.
- Strong English writing ability to produce clear, structured feedback and to run interviews.
- Available for under 20 hours per week as a contractor; worldwide applicants accepted.
Who Should Apply
Apply if you have documented, real-world LangChain v2 projects, can explain concrete debugging and optimization steps, and enjoy giving precise developer-focused feedback.
Candidates who only have theoretical familiarity without hands-on implementation experience should not apply — the role requires practical problem solving and examples.
- Developer or ML engineer familiar with LangChain v2 and modern LLM integrations.
- People comfortable conducting technical interviews and writing structured assessment notes.
- Contractors seeking flexible, part-time remote work focused on improving AI developer tooling.
How It Works
OpenTrain makes it simple to find AI training work: sign up for free, build your profile, and apply to projects that match your skills. This project uses a labeling platform (OTHER) and provides interview guidelines and examples.
If selected you will receive task instructions, code/explanation samples to evaluate, and a scoring rubric for interviews. All work is remote and submitted through the platform.
- Labeling type: COMPUTER_PROGRAMMING_CODING using provided tools (labelingSoftware: OTHER).
- Employment types: Contractor, Part-time. Worldwide applicants welcome.
- Pay structure: PAY_PER_HOUR at USD $20/hour.
