The role

You will work as a Kyrgyz Music Transcription Expert supporting generative-music AI. The core task is careful musical transcription from audio: capturing melody, pitch, rhythm, and musical structure, plus accurately handling sung Kyrgyz lyrics and unclear delivery so the training data reflects real performances.

What you will do

• Transcribe melodies by ear with close attention to pitch and rhythm.
• Identify musical structure such as key, tempo, and time signature in sung material.
• Review and annotate sung Kyrgyz lyrics, noting accents and unclear delivery.
• Provide careful musical judgment to support generative-music AI training.

Requirements

This is an expert-level role: you must demonstrate formal musical training or proven professional music experience and a strong ability to transcribe by ear.

• Formal musical training or equivalent professional experience (musician, composer, transcriber, engineer, or teacher).
• Proven ability to transcribe melodies accurately with pitch and rhythmic detail.
• Knowledge of musical concepts: key, tempo, and time signature.
• Strong Kyrgyz fluency for interpreting sung lyrics, accents, and unclear delivery.

Work details and compensation

This is a remote, contract, part-time assignment. The initial pilot workload is 2–5 hours per week; strong performers may be invited to higher-volume phases later. The role focuses on audio transcription for generative-music AI projects.

• Hourly pay: $50–$70 USD per hour.
• Time commitment: less than 20 hours/week; pilot 2–5 hours/week.
