OpenTrain AI is the contracting organization for this role — we connect skilled contributors with focused annotation and transcription work that directly shapes how modern AI behaves.

About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Contributors listen, transcribe, rate, and label examples that teach models to understand music, language, and audio.

These roles are often 100% remote and flexible, making them a strong fit for part-time work, complementary freelance income, or focused specialist tasks that require musical or language expertise.

The role

OpenTrain is hiring Persian music transcription specialists to listen closely to audio and produce accurate melodic and lyrical transcriptions. Your work will support generative-music AI by providing high-quality, music-aware annotations.

This is a part-time contractor role (less than 20 hours/week), worldwide/remote, paid per hour at USD 50–70/hr.

  • Data type: audio (sung music in Persian).
  • Labeling task: melodic and lyrical transcription.
  • Employment: Contractor, part-time, less than 20 hours/week.
  • Languages required: Persian (fa).

What you'll do

  • Transcribe melodies by ear with accurate pitch and rhythm.
  • Identify musical structure including key, tempo, and time signature.
  • Transcribe sung Persian lyrics carefully, accounting for accents and unclear delivery.
  • Provide judgment and careful listening to support generative-music model training.

Requirements

  • Formal musical training or equivalent professional music experience.
  • Proven ability to transcribe melodies by ear with accurate pitch and rhythm.
  • Ability to recognize key, tempo, and time signature reliably.
  • Strong Persian fluency for both spoken and sung lyrics, including handling unclear delivery.
  • Comfort working part-time on transcription or music analysis tasks; experience level: Intermediate.

Who should apply

This role suits musicians, composers, transcribers, audio engineers, music teachers, and other professionals with formal musical experience and strong Persian language skills.

  • You enjoy detailed listening work and have a strong ear for melody and rhythm.
  • You can balance a small weekly commitment and produce consistent, high-quality transcriptions.
  • You want to build AI-training experience and a visible portfolio of annotation work on OpenTrain.

How it works & pay

Assignments are delivered through OpenTrain; you will complete audio transcriptions and submit them per project instructions. This is paid hourly as a contractor role; exact hours depend on project availability and your chosen commitment.

Pay range: USD 50–70 per hour. The role is remote and open worldwide; fluency in Persian is required.
