About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Junior PCB Design Engineer focused on high-quality AI training work with DesignSpark PCB designs. In this role, you will review and evaluate schematics and layouts for accuracy, provide detailed feedback and annotations, document design rationales and common issues, and help build reference materials and guidelines that support model-training data quality. The work centers on real PCB development materials and technical documentation, with an emphasis on clear records and practical engineering judgment.

What you will do
- Review PCB schematics and layouts using DesignSpark.
- Provide feedback and annotation based on industry standards.
- Document design issues, rationales, solutions, findings, and recommendations.
- Contribute technical insights for AI model training datasets.
- Help create PCB design guidelines and reference materials.

Required skills
- Proficiency with DesignSpark PCB design software.
- Solid understanding of PCB design principles, schematic capture, and layout.
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and feedback.
- Detail-oriented review of technical designs and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple priorities.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components and circuits.
- Prior experience with AI or training AI systems in a technical capacity is preferred.
