About this role OpenTrain is recruiting for an Electronic Engineer (Qucs-S Expert) to support AI training work focused on electronic circuit simulation and review. This role uses Qucs-S expertise to design, simulate, validate, and optimize circuits, document findings, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with distributed teams so AI systems can learn from careful technical judgment and clear written feedback. Prior AI training experience is not required unless stated elsewhere on this job page; the most important qualification is strong real-world knowledge of the subject area.
What you will do - Design, simulate, and validate electronic circuits and systems using Qucs-S - Optimize circuit designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability - Develop detailed technical documentation and present findings clearly - Troubleshoot and analyze issues arising during simulation or prototyping phases - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote, distributed environment - Apply Qucs-S best practices and advanced simulation techniques
Required skills - Proven expertise with Qucs-S for electronic circuit simulation and analysis - Experience in electronic circuit design, testing, and optimization - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and detail - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges - Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with distributed teams - Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation - Background in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design
