The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Japanese Voice Actor for a short-term AI audio training project. You will create high-quality Japanese speech recordings in a neutral to upbeat customer-service voice, following written transcripts accurately while maintaining natural pacing and delivery.

This is an entry-level freelance opportunity. Professional voice acting is preferred but not required when you have relevant experience in another speaking or audio-focused field.

• Compensation: Listed at $40-$200 per hour, with $200 per finished hour based on submitted audio

What You'll Do

You will record and submit Japanese speech that sounds clear, consistent, and natural. The work requires accurate transcript reading as well as the judgment to adjust delivery when needed so the audio reflects natural spoken pacing without changing the intended transcript.

• Record written Japanese scripts in a neutral to upbeat customer-service style.
• Maintain clear enunciation, consistent pacing, and natural delivery.
• Follow transcripts accurately, including punctuation, commas, and dashes.
• Adjust your delivery to reflect natural speech while preserving transcript intent.
• Produce and submit recordings using a professional home audio setup.
• Complete post-production using appropriate audio editing software.

Requirements

Applicants must use Japanese as their primary recording language and have been born and raised in Japan. You must also be able to communicate proficiently in English for project coordination and have the equipment and software needed to produce professional-quality recordings.
