The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Japanese Corporate/M&A AI Evaluation Attorney to review how effectively AI systems answer real questions of Japanese law. You will run identical prompts through two AI language-model platforms, compare their responses, and score the results using a standardized rubric.

Requirements

This role is intended for a legal professional with practical corporate, M&A, or transactional experience in Japan. You must be able to work independently, follow evaluation criteria precisely, and meet deadlines.

  • At least two years of law firm experience in corporate/M&A or transactional practice
  • Three or more years of relevant experience preferred
  • Qualified to practice law in Japan
  • Native or fluent Japanese proficiency
  • Precise written communication in Japanese
  • Experience evaluating or scoring work against a rubric
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
