AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI: people prepare examples, verify facts, and teach models how to reason and respond. Contributors work remotely, often with flexible hours, and directly shape how state-of-the-art systems behave.

As an analyst on these projects you'll do high-impact work—breaking down complex content, verifying claims, and writing explanations that models use to learn—while building a portfolio of concrete AI training experience.

The Role

You will analyze content in Italian to support large language model improvement. Tasks center on reading longer texts, breaking them into logical sections, researching and validating claims, answering analytical questions, and writing clear explanations to guide model learning.

Labeling tasks include question answering, RLHF-style feedback, and evaluation/rating. You will apply judgment, record annotations, and incorporate feedback to raise model performance over time.

What You Will Do

• Read and summarize longer Italian texts into clear, logical blocks for model training.
• Research claims online and verify accuracy, citing supporting evidence where required.
• Answer analytical questions and create scenarios that help train LLM behavior.
• Write concise, explanatory rationales for correct answers to support model learning.
• Apply constructive feedback, produce detailed annotations, and use careful judgment on each task.

Requirements

• Fluent working ability in Italian and English (reading and writing).
• Strong analytical research skills and excellent reading comprehension for Italian text.
• Professional writing experience (research, journalism, editing, translation, or business analysis).
• Comfort with Excel and Google Suite, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to work independently as a remote contractor and apply feedback consistently.

Preferred Background

A bachelor’s degree or current undergraduate study in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Prior experience doing language work, analysis, or creative/lateral problem solving is valuable for puzzle-like prompts and scenario creation.

Work Details & Schedule

This is a remote contractor, part-time/contract role. The structured time expectation lists 20+ hours/week, and the project description also notes the assignment may call for full-time availability (about 40 hours/week) with some overlap with US hours; please consider your availability before applying.

Tasks are completed in web-based labeling interfaces and spreadsheets. Labeling types include QUESTION_ANSWERING, RLHF, and EVALUATION_RATING. Pay and exact scheduling are provided through your OpenTrain assignment.
