The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an Italian Audiobook AI Narration Reviewer to evaluate text-to-speech audiobook recordings. You will listen critically to Italian audiobooks, identify and categorize speech or audio issues, mark the exact span of each problem, and assess whether the overall narration feels natural and enjoyable.

This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role requiring approximately 20 or more hours per week. The pay range is $15 to $20 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

You will review AI-narrated audiobooks in Italian and record precise, consistent findings using review tooling. The work involves sustained listening and careful judgment across lengthy audio sessions.

• Evaluate narration for naturalness, accuracy, and listener enjoyment
• Identify skipped, added, or mispronounced words
• Find incorrect readings of numbers and incorrectly expanded abbreviations
• Detect unnatural phrasing and intonation problems
• Recognize audio glitches and other synthesized-speech artifacts
• Mark the exact span of each issue
• Categorize findings through the review tools
• Report where narration sounds natural and where errors interrupt the experience

Requirements

You should have native or near-native fluency in Italian as used in Italy, along with working English proficiency sufficient to communicate review findings clearly. Regular audiobook listening experience and the ability to judge spoken pronunciation are essential.
