About AI Training Work

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Indonesian Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality and consistency across Indonesian AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Indonesian content and trainer QA work, assess results against project guidelines and rubrics, and provide precise written feedback that helps contributors meet expected standards.

The role also includes identifying recurring issues, communicating updates to trainers and QAs, supporting onboarding, maintaining documentation, and helping activate contributors who are not working consistently.

What You’ll Do

You will combine careful language review with structured quality management. Your feedback should be clear, actionable, and grounded in the relevant project guidelines, style guides, and evaluation rubrics.

• Review Indonesian AI-generated content and trainer QA work for quality and consistency
• Evaluate output against project guidelines, style guides, and project-specific rubrics
• Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and meaning preservation
• Check instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence
• Provide clear written feedback to trainers and QAs
• Identify recurring issues and help improve workflows for Indonesian-language projects
• Communicate project updates and support trainer and QA onboarding
• Maintain trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and quality notes
• Help activate contributors who are not working consistently

Requirements

This is an intermediate-level role for a strong Indonesian language professional who can apply detailed standards consistently and communicate findings clearly in English.

• Native or near-native Indonesian proficiency with strong reading and writing ability
• Strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, and team coordination
• Experience in Indonesian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, or related language review work
• Strong grasp of Indonesian grammar, spelling conventions, tone, register, and cultural context
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot translation or localization issues
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus

• Degree in Indonesian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs
• Comfort working with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, dashboards, and project management tools
