Human Intelligence Collector (HUMINT) (English)

You will conduct or assess structured elicitation and interview sessions for AI system evaluation. The work uses your experience in rapport-building, questioning, behavioral observation, and reliability assessment.

You will explain your judgments clearly for both technical and non-specialist readers. Your analysis should be based on evidence rather than intuition alone.

• Build rapport and encourage open communication without pressure or coercion.
• Interpret tone, pacing, hesitation, gestures, and other verbal, paralinguistic, and nonverbal cues.
• Adjust questioning strategies based on responses and interaction dynamics.
• Assess consistency, reliability, evasiveness, and confidence in each interaction.
• Identify and annotate emotional and motivational factors affecting responses.
• Score sessions against a detailed rubric while staying objective across cases.
• Write clear, traceable reasoning that supports each analytical conclusion.

What it pays and takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor role.

• Pay: $30-$80 per hour.
• Time: Approximately 15 hours per week, with a commitment of less than 20 hours per week.
• Location: Remote and open to candidates in the countries listed for this role; US-based contractors are preferred.
• Language: Strong written English with precise, defensible analytical communication.
• Experience: Three to five or more years in professional interviewing, intelligence elicitation, investigative questioning, or skilled negotiation.
• Ability to interpret verbal, paralinguistic, and nonverbal cues during live interactions.
• Training in a recognized interviewing method, such as the PEACE model or cognitive interviewing.
• Experience working with diverse populations or through interpreters.
• Helpful experience includes military HUMINT, law-enforcement interviewing, forensic interviewing, data annotation, AI model evaluation, or assessment report writing.
• Familiarity with behavioral analysis, interrogation, elicitation, or investigative interviewing training is also useful.
