About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for an HR and People Operations AI Evaluation Expert to help fine-tune large language models with practical human resources knowledge. You will establish reliable HR logic for AI-generated tools, validate outputs against real-world People Operations standards, and help turn policies and workflows into clear rules that models and builders can use. The work combines deep HR expertise with structured review of AI applications, spreadsheets, workflow logic, and operational reference materials.

What you will do
You will define discovery parameters and guardrails for requisitions, headcount, compensation bands, PTO accrual and carryover rules, exempt and non-exempt classifications, and other People Operations logic. You will validate organizational charts, requisition lists, PTO ledgers, pipeline stages, leave formulas, KPI metrics, and data-validation controls in headcount planners, hiring workflows, and timesheet trackers. You will review peer deliverables before quality control, provide sign-off when outputs reflect professional HR practices, and translate complex HR policies into deterministic spreadsheet formulas, validation constraints, and operational definitions.

Required skills
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in HR, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, or HR business partnering. Required qualifications include hands-on familiarity with applicant tracking systems, headcount planning, compensation bands, PTO or leave accrual rules, and organizational structures; concise professional writing skills; the ability to convert policy into spreadsheet formulas, KPI definitions, and validation rules; and experience conducting peer reviews against strict professional standards. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. A reliable desktop or laptop and stable, high-speed internet are required for remote work. Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or another analytical discipline is helpful.

Schedule and engagement
This is a contractor engagement requiring 40 hours per week, including 8 hours of overlap with Pacific Time. Weekend on-call availability is required, part-time engagement may be acceptable, and the engagement length is up to 10 weeks.
