The Role
OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Healthcare Survey Methodology Expert to support research involving physician and patient survey instruments. You will design, review, and refine questionnaires so research questions are clinically appropriate, methodologically sound, and capable of producing reliable, interpretable data.
The work may span prostate cancer, ulcerative colitis, migraine, COPD, and additional therapeutic areas. You will review both survey methodology and therapeutic-area content when qualified.
Contract position with part-time employment classification.
Remote work available worldwide.

Stated commitment of 40 hours per week, with a listed requirement of 20 or more hours per week.
Pay: $140 USD per hour.
What You'll Do
You will translate research objectives into clear, decision-useful questionnaires and provide precise written explanations with actionable recommendations. Your review will cover survey design, clinical content, respondent experience, and potential sources of bias.
Design and refine physician, specialist, primary care, and patient survey instruments.
Evaluate clinical terminology, treatment pathways, prescribing behavior, and patient research concepts.
Provide precise written methodological feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Required Qualifications
At least three years of professional experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, life-sciences, or medically focused research is required. Hands-on experience developing or fielding surveys involving physicians, patients, healthcare professionals, or other healthcare stakeholders is essential.
You should bring strong questionnaire-design and survey-methodology skills, along with familiarity with pharmaceutical market research, commercial insights, medical affairs research, or related life-sciences environments. Excellent written reasoning and the ability to deliver precise methodological feedback are expected.
Healthcare or pharmaceutical market research experience.
Experience developing or fielding physician, patient, or healthcare professional surveys.
Strong questionnaire design skills, including survey flow and branching logic.
Ability to assess measurement bias and respondent burden.
Understanding of clinical terminology, treatment pathways, prescribing behavior, and patient research concepts.
Ability to provide precise written methodological recommendations.
Helpful Background
Experience with common survey platforms is helpful. Therapeutic-area knowledge is valuable, particularly when it supports accurate review of healthcare and pharmaceutical research content.
Qualtrics, Decipher or Forsta, Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, or similar survey platforms.
