The Role

We are hiring a Gujarati Language Review Specialist to evaluate AI-generated Gujarati text, produce reference (gold) answers, and provide detailed feedback in English. You will focus on accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, cultural appropriateness, and logical consistency across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.

• Work type: contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week)
• Pay: $20.00 USD per hour
• Locations: hiring across the United States, the United Kingdom, and India (remote)
• Data type and tasks: text annotation, RLHF-style evaluation, rating, text generation review, and translation/localization QA

What You’ll Do

Daily responsibilities center on careful, consistent judgment and clear written feedback to improve model outputs. You will compare multiple model responses, flag issues, and produce high-quality rewrites and model answers.

• Review AI-generated Gujarati text for correctness, fluency, tone, and cultural fit
• Create gold-standard Gujarati answers and reference content when needed
• Flag mistranslations, register issues, ambiguity, and logical inconsistencies
• Fact-check claims and identify unsafe, misleading, or biased content
• Write rewrites and model answers that demonstrate best-practice Gujarati writing
• Compare and rate multiple model responses and select the stronger answer based on quality

Requirements

You must bring strong Gujarati writing skills plus the ability to explain judgments clearly in English. This role requires attention to subtle meaning shifts, register and dialect awareness, and comfort working with evaluation rubrics.

• Native or near-native Gujarati reading and writing ability
• Strong professional English, able to provide detailed feedback in English
• Deep knowledge of Gujarati grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
• Comfort with formal and informal registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation
• Ability to identify hallucinations, bias, and misleading or unsafe claims
• Experience with translation QA, editorial QA, AI model evaluation, or rubric-based judging is strongly preferred

Helpful Background & Qualifications

The following are not required but help you succeed in this role and are looked on favorably during selection.

• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, journalism, education, or content QA
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Gujarati or English Literature, Translation, Communications, or a related field
• Previous work on multilingual or quality-focused language tasks
