The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an intermediate Gujarati Language Review Specialist to evaluate AI-generated Gujarati content and create strong reference material. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, register, cultural appropriateness, prompt adherence, and logical consistency.

The role also involves identifying mistranslations, ambiguity, hallucinated claims, bias, and policy-risk language. You will rewrite weak outputs, produce model answers, and compare multiple responses across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.

• Hourly remote contractor role

What You'll Do

You will apply detailed language judgment and careful written reasoning to help improve AI response quality. Work may include both evaluating existing outputs and generating polished Gujarati content that demonstrates best practices.

• Review AI-generated Gujarati text for correctness, fluency, tone, and cultural fit
• Create gold-standard Gujarati answers and reference content when needed
• Flag mistranslations, register issues, ambiguity, and logical inconsistencies
• Fact-check claims and identify unsafe or misleading content
• Write rewrites and model answers that demonstrate strong Gujarati writing
• Compare multiple model responses and select the stronger answer based on quality

Requirements

You should have native or near-native Gujarati reading and writing ability, along with strong professional English for providing detailed feedback. The role requires close attention to subtle meaning shifts, culturally awkward phrasing, and differences between formal and informal language.

• Native or near-native Gujarati reading and writing ability
• Strong professional English and detailed English feedback writing
• Deep knowledge of Gujarati grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
• Understanding of formal and informal registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation
• Ability to identify hallucinations, bias, and misleading or unsafe claims
• Comfort rewriting and ranking AI responses for quality
• Strong attention to detail when evaluating language and meaning

Preferred Background

Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, journalism, education, or related language work is preferred. Prior experience with AI data training, translation quality assurance, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.

A bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Gujarati or English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field is helpful. Experience working on multilingual or quality-focused language tasks is also valuable.
