The work

OpenTrain is hiring a Gravitational Physics AI Training Expert for research-level gravity and cosmology benchmark work. You will use your subject knowledge to create, solve, review, and explain difficult technical problems for AI training.

The work includes analytical and numerical reasoning, careful review of expert responses, and clear written feedback on the quality and clarity of specialized benchmark results.

• Develop detailed solutions involving first-order Palatini gravity, tetrad and spin connection methods, and extended gravity theories.
• Analyze Pontryagin density contributions and Dynamical Chern-Simons modifications.
• Formulate, solve, and interpret coupled nonlinear cosmological ordinary differential equation systems.
• Work with Friedmann equations that include torsion.
• Apply Planck-unit normalization consistently in theoretical and computational work.
• Critically evaluate results and explain technical reasoning clearly.

What it pays and takes

This is remote, part-time contractor work. No previous AI training experience is required, but the role calls for advanced knowledge of gravitation, cosmology, or astrophysics.

• Pay: $80 to $160 per hour.
• Schedule: About 10 hours per week for an 8 to 10 week project.
• Location: Remote work available in the listed countries.
• Language: Strong written English.
• Education: PhD or equivalent advanced academic background in physics, with emphasis on gravitation, cosmology, or astrophysics.
• Relevant knowledge: Palatini gravity, tetrad and spin connection formalisms, higher-order curvature corrections, nonlinear ODE systems, Pontryagin density, Dynamical Chern-Simons gravity, and Planck-unit normalization.
• Work style: Careful attention to detail, clear technical reasoning, ability to follow detailed guidelines, and comfort working independently on remote contractor tasks.
