The work

You will review visual design work and decide which option better meets a brief, serves its audience, and fits a brand or publication style. You will explain your decisions in clear, concise written English.

The work covers both creative judgment and practical production checks. You will assess how text, images, layout, and design details work together.

  • Compare posters, covers, page layouts, and brand pieces against a brief and intended audience.
  • Evaluate hierarchy, spacing, typography, color, readability, and the relationship between text and images.
  • Check whether designs match the requested brief and the relevant brand or publication style.
  • Identify production issues such as incorrect file formats, low resolution, unsuitable margins, and print color problems.
  • Write concise explanations that show why one design is more effective than another.
