The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a German Audio Transcription and Alignment Auditor to review AI training audio, transcriptions, and word-level alignment data. You will evaluate whether spoken German is represented accurately, apply defined error codes, verify timing boundaries, and correct transcription or alignment issues when needed.

The role is suitable for entry-level applicants who have strong German listening skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to follow written rubrics consistently. Previous experience in transcription, subtitling, localization, linguistic annotation, or quality assurance is helpful but not required.

What You'll Do

You will listen to recordings of human or agent speech and compare them with existing transcriptions. For each item, you will determine whether the text accurately reflects what was spoken, apply every relevant error code, and provide a clear rationale for your judgment.

You will also review word-level forced-alignment segments, checking timestamps and reference text. When necessary, you will correct inaccurate boundaries by splitting, merging, adding, or removing segments. A calibration phase must be completed before production auditing begins.
