Create realistic geoscience scenarios and reference answers, then evaluate AI responses to geoscience and climate questions. Your judgments will focus on physical accuracy, clear scientific reasoning, appropriate uncertainty, and evidence.
- Turn field observations and geological interpretation into scenarios.
- Explain geological reasoning, processes, and timescales in reference answers.
- Spot scientifically wrong earth science claims, even when an answer sounds fluent.
- Use evidence-based judgment with information from outcrops, cores, or models.
Pay, schedule, and requirements
This is ongoing, remote, asynchronous independent contractor work. You can set your own schedule.
- Pay: $60 to $110 per hour, depending on experience; paid weekly via Stripe.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Location: Remote; open to candidates based in the eligible countries listed for this role.
- Language: Strong written English and the ability to explain scientific reasoning clearly.
- Required: An advanced degree in geology, earth science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, plus at least two years of geoscience research, industry, or field experience.
- Relevant specialties include sedimentology, hydrology, geophysics, volcanology, climate science, or a related area.
- Helpful: A PhD, professional geologist licensure, GIS, remote sensing, or geospatial modeling skills, or experience in energy, mining, environmental consulting, or government survey work.
