Pay, schedule, and requirements

• Pay: Up to $100 per hour, depending on the project.
• Hours: No minimum. Contributors may work approximately 5–20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
• Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous. The program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically.
• Location: Fully remote in the United States. You need reliable internet and a desktop or laptop computer.
• Work type: Independent contractor, project-based work.
• Required experience: At least four years of postsecondary teaching in geology or a closely related Earth science subject.
• You need hands-on experience designing and teaching geology courses, laboratory instruction, or field-based learning.
• Strong writing, attention to detail, independent judgment, reliability, and discretion with sensitive or proprietary information are required.
