The French Voice Actor Role

OpenTrain AI is hiring a French Voice Actor to provide high-quality recordings for training and evaluating text-to-speech systems. You will record conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts with clear, natural, emotionally controlled delivery.

The recordings will support an internal CX AI Agent use case. Your work will improve AI voice models and will not be sold, licensed, or reused outside this specific project.

• Pay: $50 per hour
• Work arrangement: Fully remote; location does not matter
• Schedule: Approximately 5–10 hours per week over the project duration
• Engagement: Part-time contractor

What You'll Do

You will create consistent, studio-quality French voice recordings while following detailed production instructions. Multiple takes and delivery variations may be required to capture different emotional and speaking styles.

• Record diverse conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts
• Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with controlled tone, pacing, and pronunciation
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
• Follow guidelines for recording environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
• Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when requested

Required Qualifications

This role requires a native or native-level French speaker with a neutral standard French delivery and no notable regional or foreign-language influence. You should be able to follow scripts precisely without losing a natural, engaging delivery.

• Demonstrable experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
• Strong command of French intonation, diction, and emotional range
• Neutral standard French accent without regional influence
• Professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
• Ability to follow scripts accurately while maintaining natural speech
• Comfort with voice cloning for this specific internal CX AI Agent use case
• Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week during the project

Helpful Experience

The following background is helpful but not required. It can help you adapt quickly to the project's recording and delivery standards.

• Recording for text-to-speech, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
• Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or similar audio editing tools
• Ability to deliver conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm vocal styles
