The Role
OpenTrain is seeking French law expert reviewers to evaluate AI-generated legal answers. You will compare responses from two AI language-model platforms and assess them side by side using a standardized evaluation rubric.
The work combines legal analysis, structured comparison, rubric-based scoring, and concise written feedback. The role is remote, available to eligible candidates in France, and offered on a part-time contractor basis.

What You’ll Do
Run identical legal prompts across two AI language-model platforms.
Compare the resulting legal answers side by side.
Evaluate each response against a standardized rubric.
Identify strengths, weaknesses, accuracy issues, and quality concerns.
Assess responses involving French law, particularly commercial and contract matters.
Submit concise written feedback for every evaluation.
Apply consistent legal judgment while working independently.
Manage review assignments and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
At least five years of experience as in-house legal counsel practicing in France.
Strong working knowledge of French law, especially commercial and contract matters.
Ability to identify accuracy and quality issues in AI-generated legal responses.
Ability to interpret and apply a structured evaluation rubric consistently.
Precise written communication and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage independent review work and meet deadlines.
Helpful Background
Experience with legal research, contract analysis, or reviewing written legal advice can help you assess nuanced model responses. Familiarity with comparing alternative answers and explaining the reasoning behind a score is also useful.
