The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting French law expert reviewers to evaluate AI-generated legal answers, with particular relevance to commercial and contract matters. The work combines legal analysis, side-by-side comparison, rubric-based scoring, and concise written feedback.
This is a remote, part-time contractor engagement for eligible candidates in France. The initial commitment is approximately 10 hours, with potential for additional work.

What You’ll Do
You will independently review AI-generated legal responses and apply a standardized evaluation framework. Each evaluation should clearly distinguish accurate, useful answers from responses containing legal, reasoning, or quality issues.
Run the same legal prompts across two AI language-model platforms
Compare the resulting answers side by side
Assess each response against a standardized evaluation rubric
Identify strengths, weaknesses, and accuracy issues
Submit concise written feedback for every evaluation
Apply consistent judgment while working independently
Complete review work and meet deadlines
Requirements
This role requires substantial professional experience practicing French law. You should be able to assess nuanced legal answers, identify inaccuracies, and explain the reasoning behind a score with precision.
At least five years of experience as in-house legal counsel practicing in France
Strong working knowledge of French law
Particular knowledge of commercial and contract matters
Ability to identify accuracy and quality issues in AI-generated legal responses
Ability to interpret and apply a structured rubric consistently
Precise written communication and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage independent review work to deadlines
French language capability
Helpful Background
