In this role, your French transcription work will help AI systems process spoken French more accurately, including conversations with accents, interruptions, background noise, and natural speech patterns.
OpenTrain is seeking a French Audio Transcriptionist to create accurate, detailed training data from real-world French conversations. You will listen closely to French-language recordings and convert spoken audio into written transcripts while preserving conversational nuance.
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor opportunity for contributors located in Morocco. The expected time commitment is 20 or more hours per week, with pay ranging from $10 to $35 per hour.
You will work independently on assigned transcription tasks and maintain accuracy across substantial volumes of audio. The recordings may include challenging conditions that require careful listening and consistent judgment.
You should have native-level or near-native French proficiency, excellent spelling and grammar, and strong listening skills. Success in this role requires close attention to subtle audio details and a methodical approach to detailed guidelines.
Professional transcription experience is helpful but not required. Experience in another precision-focused role may also prepare you for this work.
Familiarity with Moroccan Darija-influenced French speech patterns is useful, particularly when recordings include varied conversational styles.
