About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Professionals contribute real-world knowledge by writing examples, reviewing model outputs, evaluating decisions, and explaining where automated systems can make mistakes.

In this role, your financial compliance judgment will help represent the workflows, distinctions, and practical decisions that AI systems may otherwise misunderstand.

  • Remote work completed with a computer and internet connection
  • Flexible contractor and part-time opportunity
  • Use professional expertise to influence how AI handles complex compliance work

The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Financial Compliance Workflow Contributor to provide detailed written expertise for AI training engagements. You will document how compliance and financial-crime work is actually performed, including workflows, tools, decision points, specialty distinctions, and practical judgments that textbook descriptions often miss.

Your perspective may inform work involving AML and BSA, KYC and client due diligence, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, financial-crime investigations, securities and wealth compliance, conduct and surveillance, regulatory reporting, and compliance testing.

  • Pay rate: $80 per hour
  • Work arrangement: Remote contractor and part-time
  • Language: English
  • Data type: Text
  • Experience level listed: Entry level

What You'll Do

You will complete a focused written intake about your compliance practice and day-to-day responsibilities. Responses should be specific and detailed, reflecting real professional judgment rather than textbook definitions.

The role description states that the intake takes approximately 15 minutes. Structured role information also lists a time requirement of 20+ hours per week, so confirm the current scope and expected availability when applying.

  • Describe how your time is divided and which workflows are central to your role
  • Explain practical distinctions experienced professionals use within compliance
  • Provide concrete casework examples where AI-generated compliance work can fail
  • Identify overlooked parts of compliance work that matter in practice
  • Explain workflows, decisions, and professional processes clearly in writing

Requirements

You should have current or recent professional experience in compliance or financial crime, with practical experience in a first-line, second-line, internal audit, or external advisory setting. Familiarity with at least one relevant compliance area is expected.

Credentials such as CAMS, CGSS, CFCS, CFE, CRCM, an ICA diploma, or FINRA registrations are useful, but deep domain experience without one of these credentials is also valued.

  • Practical expertise in AML, BSA, KYC, CDD, sanctions, transaction monitoring, or financial-crime investigations
  • Ability to explain real compliance workflows, decision points, and time allocation
  • Judgment to identify concrete ways AI-generated compliance work can fail
  • Experience distinguishing practical compliance specialties beyond textbook definitions
  • Clear written communication about detailed professional processes

Who Can Apply

This opportunity is available to English-speaking applicants in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the United States.
