The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an expert Finance AI Task Author and Evaluator to design realistic, complex finance scenarios and create the supporting materials used in AI training. You will draw on your current practice area to build models, memos, filings, and data, then author and evaluate tasks that test analytical judgment.

The work may span investment banking and M&A, private equity or credit, corporate finance and FP&A, research, asset management, quantitative finance, risk, treasury, technical accounting, real estate finance, or regulatory reporting.

What You'll Do

You will construct finance problems grounded in professional practice and create the materials needed to make each scenario realistic and useful for AI training. You will also assess the quality of AI-generated work against standards used in live investment, financing, reporting, and regulatory contexts.

Required Experience And Skills

You should have at least three years of recent, substantive, hands-on finance experience and currently work in the field. Your background should include ownership of analysis or decisions such as a live transaction model, diligence process, valuation, forecast, financing, or recommendation memo.

Strong Excel and financial modeling capability is required. Familiarity with relevant tools is valuable where applicable, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, data rooms, ERP or consolidation systems, and quantitative or risk platforms.

  • Familiarity with relevant finance platforms where applicable

Helpful Background

Advanced academic and professional credentials are welcome but are not stated as required. Experience across multiple finance disciplines or across buy-side and sell-side settings can also strengthen your fit for the work.
