The role

OpenTrain is hiring a Finance AI Model Evaluation Expert to apply deep finance knowledge to assess and improve AI outputs across corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and private equity scenarios.

You will work remotely with AI researchers and other finance experts to design rubrics, run structured evaluations, and identify where models underperform — helping set benchmarks and training signals that improve model behavior.

What you'll do

You will evaluate text outputs from finance-focused AI tasks and produce structured ratings and feedback that guide model improvements. Typical work centers on deal analysis, M&A assessments, investment scenarios, and other corporate finance tasks.

• Review and rate AI-generated finance content using structured evaluation rubrics (label type: EVALUATION_RATING; data: TEXT).
• Identify errors, gaps, or risky model behavior and provide concrete corrective guidance.
• Develop and refine rubrics and assessment templates for specialized areas such as M&A, investment analysis, and asset management.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and finance peers to design evaluation strategies and benchmarks.

Who should apply / ideal background

This contract is aimed at finance professionals with practical experience who want to bring domain expertise to AI model evaluation. No prior AI labeling experience is required.

• 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, FP&A, accounting, or financial consulting.
• CFA (Level I/II/III) cleared, or CA/CPA/MBA in Finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, investment analysis, asset management, and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Project details & logistics

This is a contractor, part-time role for contributors located in India. The engagement is fully remote and flexible.

• Commitment: flexible, typically 10–30 hours per week (input indicates ~20+ hrs/week as common).
• Duration: approximately 1 month, with potential extension based on performance.
• Location: India only, fully remote.
• Prior AI experience: not required — domain expertise in finance is the key qualification.
