About AI Training Work

In this role, your Estonian language judgment will help improve the quality and consistency of AI training data.

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an Estonian Language QA Lead to support Estonian AI training projects through quality monitoring, trainer feedback, and rubric-based review. You will evaluate AI-generated Estonian content and trainer or QA work, identify recurring issues, maintain documentation, support onboarding, and help align quality standards across remote teams.

The work focuses on Estonian grammar, spelling, fluency, tone, cultural appropriateness, formatting, and translation fidelity. You will coordinate with trainers and QAs through Discord and other project tools.

• Part-time schedule of 20+ hours per week

What You’ll Do

You will help maintain reliable, scalable quality workflows for Estonian-language AI training tasks. The role combines detailed language review with written coaching, documentation, and remote team coordination.

• Review Estonian AI training content and trainer or QA submissions against project guidelines and rubrics
• Identify recurring quality issues and escalate critical or repeated problems
• Provide clear written feedback to trainers and QAs
• Support onboarding, training calls, FAQs, style guides, trackers, and other project documentation
• Help manage inactive contributors and keep quality workflows moving
• Coordinate updates about item guidelines, workflow changes, and quality expectations
• Improve consistency across Estonian-language tasks and support scalable QA processes

Requirements

This role requires native or near-native Estonian writing and editing judgment, along with strong English communication for feedback, documentation, and team coordination. You should be comfortable evaluating language content against detailed rubrics and explaining quality decisions clearly.

• Native or near-native Estonian proficiency with strong reading and writing skills
• Strong understanding of Estonian grammar, case endings, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, and cultural context
• Ability to identify mistranslation, unnatural phrasing, ambiguity, and terminology issues
• Experience in Estonian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review work
• Experience reviewing translation quality, localization, or language QA
• Ability to apply detailed rubrics to AI training content
• Strong English communication skills
• Comfort using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems

Helpful Background

Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, reviewers, editors, or QAs is a strong plus. Familiarity with AI training, large language models, prompt or response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is also valuable.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Estonian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Experience maintaining style guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, honeypots, and quality documentation
• Experience with AI training, LLM evaluation, or prompt-response review
