The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting an English Audio Recording Expert to create high-quality English voice recordings for AI training projects. You will use your voice and audio production expertise to produce natural, clear samples that meet defined technical and creative standards.

This is an entry-level AI training opportunity, and prior AI training experience is not required. Practical experience in voice recording, audio production, voice-over, or a related field is valuable.

• Pay range: $10–$30 per hour

What You'll Do

You will record and manage English audio samples while maintaining consistent delivery and technical quality. The work requires careful listening, expressive control, accurate file handling, and clear communication about project expectations and completed recordings.

• Record voice samples with clear, natural delivery and accurate pitch and tone
• Adapt delivery style to different project contexts and language nuances
• Maintain strict audio quality standards throughout the recording process
• Identify recording defects and complete post-recording cleanup when needed
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve script delivery and audio quality
• Organize recordings with accurate labeling and documentation
• Communicate clearly about project requirements and completed work
• Manage multiple recordings independently

Requirements

You should be able to deliver natural English speech with strong clarity and expressive control. Attention to detail, organization, and independent project management are essential for producing consistent audio datasets.

Relevant experience is preferred, but prior experience specifically in AI training is not required.

• Experience with voice recording, voice-over, audio engineering, or related production work
• Ability to interpret scripts and deliver natural English speech
• Accurate control of pitch, tone, clarity, and expression
• Familiarity with professional recording equipment
• Familiarity with audio editing software
• Judgment in identifying recording defects and applying appropriate cleanup
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to label, document, and independently manage multiple audio files
• Interest in linguistic diversity and language learning is valuable
• Multilingual experience is welcome
