The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Education and Tutoring Expert for a remote, part-time contractor project based in the United States. You will participate in realistic one-on-one tutoring and educational conversations with other project participants.

The expected weekly commitment is less than 20 hours, and the project duration is expected to be under one month. Compensation is expected to range from $50 to $100 per hour, with a listed rate of $75 per hour.

What You'll Do

You will simulate common tutoring scenarios and demonstrate how an effective educator responds to learners with different needs, levels of understanding, and progress. Conversations should feel natural and representative of real-world tutoring or teaching interactions.

Your work will include explaining concepts, answering questions, guiding learners, providing academic support, and offering constructive feedback in a supportive and professional manner.

Requirements And Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be based in the United States and fluent in English. The ideal contributor has substantial practical experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or providing academic support and can adjust explanations to suit different learners.

Several years of hands-on teaching, tutoring, or academic support experience are preferred. Professional experience as a teacher, private tutor, academic tutor, educator, academic coach, or in a similar role is especially relevant.
