The Role

OpenTrain AI is engaging Education & Tutoring Experts for a remote contractor project based in the United States. You will participate in realistic one-on-one tutoring and educational conversations with other project participants.

The expected project duration is 1 to 3 months. Compensation is $50 to $100 per hour, and the work is expected to require less than 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will simulate common tutoring and teaching situations that reflect real educational interactions. Your conversations should be natural, clear, accurate, and adapted to different learners and levels.

You will also demonstrate effective teaching techniques and provide supportive guidance while following project guidelines for representative, high-quality conversations.

• Explain concepts, answer questions, and guide learners through academic topics
• Provide academic support tailored to different learning needs and levels
• Use active listening, questioning, and student engagement techniques
• Adapt your communication and teaching approach to a learner's understanding and progress
• Offer constructive feedback and guidance in a supportive, professional manner
• Participate in paired conversation sessions remotely

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be based in the United States and have native or bilingual English proficiency. The role is intended for people with subject matter expertise in education, tutoring, or academic coaching.

Prior experience in AI is not required. Professional experience as a teacher, private tutor, academic tutor, educator, academic coach, or in a similar role is preferred, along with several years of hands-on teaching, tutoring, or academic support experience.
