The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Dutch Music and Lyrics AI Evaluator to assess generative music AI models and provide structured feedback on AI-generated lyrics. You will compare generated lyrics with published songs, identify meaningful similarities, and evaluate whether the writing sounds natural and culturally appropriate for Dutch listeners.

This role is listed as entry level, while requiring demonstrated experience in songwriting, lyric writing, performance, composition, or music journalism. The project is a remote part-time contract opportunity with a flexible commitment of around 20 hours per week and no stated weekly cap. It may continue for up to six months.

What You'll Do

You will make consistent, detailed assessments of AI-generated lyrics using established standards. Your evaluations will support improvements to generative music AI models.

  • Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs and identify meaningful similarities
  • Rate lyric quality, creativity, originality, and adherence to the prompt
  • Assess whether Dutch lyrics sound natural to native or near-native listeners
  • Evaluate word choice, slang, regional expressions, genres, and sub-genres
  • Consider artist conventions and the broader contemporary Dutch music context
  • Record structured assessments consistently and according to detailed instructions
  • Use suitable headphones or studio monitors for critical listening

Requirements

You should have native or near-native Dutch proficiency, including natural familiarity with slang and regional expressions. You must also be able to follow detailed written instructions in English.

Applicants need professional or demonstrated experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist, along with knowledge of the Dutch music scene.
