The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an expert DevOps Engineer for a remote contract focused on production-style infrastructure challenges. You will bring practical experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering to the evaluation and improvement of AI-generated solutions.

The expected project duration is under one month, with a weekly commitment of at least 20 hours. Compensation is $50-$100 per hour, with an indicated rate of $75 per hour.

What You'll Work On

You will assess realistic infrastructure scenarios and help determine whether AI-generated approaches are technically sound, production-ready, and effective. Your work will combine hands-on DevOps judgment with clear expert feedback.

• Create realistic technical scenarios for AI systems
• Review and improve AI-generated solutions
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Evaluate Docker and Kubernetes implementations
• Assess Infrastructure as Code
• Work with cloud infrastructure
• Review monitoring and incident response approaches
• Validate solutions and identify failures

Requirements and Technical Experience

This project requires at least three years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering. Strong practical experience with the listed technologies is expected, along with experience using at least one major cloud platform.

Fluent English proficiency is required. AI experience is not required; your DevOps expertise is the key qualification.

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, Python, Linux, Docker, and Git
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is required
• Fluent English proficiency
• No prior AI experience required
