OpenTrain AI is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people start and grow careers teaching AI by connecting contributors with real annotation work and by managing hiring, pay, and project onboarding.
OpenTrain AI is the hiring organization for this role — you'll join our network of contractors contributing to how modern AI systems learn from human-labeled examples.
Why AI Training Work Matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors provide the examples and corrections modern models learn from — everything from transcription and classification to quality review and content moderation.
This work is often fully remote, flexible, and accessible to people starting new careers. Many contributors work part-time or on a contract basis and influence how state-of-the-art AI behaves.
The Role
We are hiring a Remote Data Entry Clerk for entry-level, text-focused work. This is a part-time contract role for U.S.-based contributors. You will help enter, update, and maintain information in digital systems, and support text annotation tasks used to train AI models.
This position uses the SUPERVISELY labeling platform and focuses on TEXT data. Labeling tasks for this role include classification, point key point, tracking, and action recognition as applied to the project data.
What You'll Do
Accurately enter, update, and maintain records and digital information according to project guidelines.
Perform text annotation and labeling tasks using SUPERVISELY, following detailed instructions for each assignment.
Complete classification tasks and mark key points in text where required by the project.
Support tracking and action-recognition labeling workflows as they apply to the assigned text data.
Follow quality guidelines and flag unclear items or errors for review.
Requirements
This is an entry-level position meaning no prior professional experience in data labeling is required; attention to detail and reliability are essential.
U.S.-based applicants only (work is restricted to the United States).
Available for less than 20 hours per week in a part-time contractor arrangement.
Comfort with detail-oriented, repetitive tasks and following written instructions.
Willingness to use SUPERVISELY for labeling and to learn project-specific guidelines.
Must be comfortable working as a contractor.
