AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Labelers create and verify the ground-truth data models learn from, so accuracy and traceability matter.

This project focuses on structured company profile verification — a text-based task that depends on judgment, source evaluation, and careful documentation rather than automation.

• This is manual, human-first work: no automation, scripts, or AI tools are allowed for the verification itself.
• Tasks combine online research, reasoning, and precise data entry into spreadsheets.

The role

You will verify and annotate company records in spreadsheets. Each record represents a company and includes fields such as name, jurisdiction, website, directors, shareholders, revenue range, and payment types (online/offline).

Accuracy, traceability, and clear short notes explaining your reasoning are required for every item you change or confirm.

• Role type: Contractor (remote, worldwide).

• Pay: USD $15 per hour (pay-per-hour).

What you'll do day-to-day

Use open sources (official registries, company websites, LinkedIn, press coverage, filings) to confirm or correct each field on a company record. Document sources and highlight verified values directly in Excel.

If information is missing or ambiguous, continue searching until all reasonable public sources are exhausted and add short English notes describing your findings and logic.

• Verify company name and legal jurisdiction from primary sources when possible.
• Confirm websites, executive/director names, and shareholder information using official or reputable sources.
• Estimate and annotate revenue ranges only when supported by evidence; mark uncertain items and cite sources.
• Mark payment types (online/offline) based on company information and industry context.
• Highlight every verified value in the provided Excel file and record a brief rationale or source link.

Requirements

You must be able to perform thorough online research, think critically about sources, and document reasoning clearly in English.

This job requires patience, persistence, and a broad understanding of how companies and legal entities are structured — guessing is never acceptable.

• Strong research skills and persistence; you exhaust reasonable sources before concluding.
• Broad general knowledge of business structures, legal entities, revenues, and corporate roles.
• Critical thinking, curiosity, and accuracy — data must be factual and traceable.
• Comfortable writing short English notes documenting your reasoning.
• Intermediate experience level with text-based annotation or research work is expected.
