The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Czech Language AI Evaluator to improve the accuracy, fluency, naturalness, and cultural reliability of AI-generated Czech content. You will combine advanced Czech language expertise with structured evaluation, written feedback, reference-answer creation, and comparative ranking of model responses.

Projects may cover general knowledge, customer support, education, conversational writing, translation, localization, and culturally sensitive content. You will pay close attention to meaning preservation, register, terminology, and safe and reliable outputs.

• Remote hourly contractor position
• Located in the Czech Republic
• Part-time schedule of 20+ hours per week
• Advertised rate of up to $25 per hour
• Languages: Czech and English
• Experience level listed as entry level, with three years of relevant professional experience required

What You'll Do

You will assess AI-generated Czech content against detailed quality criteria and provide precise, actionable feedback. Your work will help models communicate more naturally and reliably with Czech-speaking audiences.

• Review grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, fluency, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to prompts.
• Identify mistranslations, ambiguity, unnatural or English-influenced phrasing, incorrect case endings, agreement errors, terminology problems, and logical inconsistencies.
• Flag bias, unsafe language, and factual hallucinations, and fact-check claims when needed.
• Explain errors clearly in writing and provide appropriate corrections.
• Create prompts, gold-standard Czech answers, rewrites, and model answers with clear, idiomatic, audience-appropriate language.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses for correctness, tone match, register consistency, meaning preservation, terminology quality, and cultural fit.

Required Qualifications

This role requires native or near-native Czech proficiency and strong professional English at C1 level or higher. You should be able to follow detailed evaluation guidelines in English and write clear, thorough feedback.

At least three years of professional experience in a language-focused field is required. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is acceptable.

• Native or near-native Czech writing ability with accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, and idiomatic usage.
• Deep knowledge of Czech cases, agreement, declension, conjugation, verb aspect, word order, register, and style.
• Strong professional English proficiency at C1 or higher.
• Professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or another language-focused field.
• Careful attention to meaning, cultural fit, terminology, and output quality.

Preferred Experience

Experience with AI data training, translation quality assurance, editorial quality assurance, localization quality assurance, or rubric-based language evaluation is preferred. Familiarity with structured review and comparative rating will help you assess model responses consistently.
