  • Remote contractor opportunity
  • 100 openings available
  • Pay range of $28 to $92 per hour
  • Expected project duration of 3 to 6 months

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with real-world expertise review examples, assess model responses, annotate information, and provide feedback that helps AI systems learn to reason and perform more effectively.

In this project, your CRM and sales operations knowledge will help models handle business workflows, customer relationship processes, sales enablement, and automation logic more accurately.

  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems
  • Use professional CRM expertise in practical model-training tasks
  • Work remotely with a computer and reliable internet access

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking experienced CRM Operations Specialists to support a project focused on optimizing sales and customer relationship management processes. You will evaluate AI-generated outputs, review CRM records and interactions, and provide structured feedback based on real-world business practices.

This is an expert-level opportunity for professionals with at least 3 years of hands-on CRM and sales operations experience, including at least 2 years working directly with CRM platforms. Prior paid human data work supporting AI models is a firm requirement.

  • Subject matter focus: CRM and sales operations process evaluation
  • Role type: Contractor
  • Work arrangement: Remote
  • Primary language: English
  • Experience level: Expert

What You'll Do

You will apply written guidelines and professional judgment to text-generation and model-evaluation tasks. Your feedback should be clear, consistent, and actionable for project stakeholders and model development teams.

  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs involving CRM workflows, sales processes, and automation logic.
  • Review, analyze, and annotate CRM data, records, and user interactions for AI-training purposes.
  • Rate or rank model responses using written guidelines and rubric-based evaluation criteria.
  • Flag cases that fall outside existing guidelines or require additional review.
  • Provide representative CRM scenarios, examples, and feedback based on sales operations best practices.
  • Document current sales operations processes, pain points, and opportunities for meaningful improvement.
  • Deliver structured written feedback to stakeholders and model development teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

Strong domain expertise in CRM and sales operations is essential. No prior AI development experience is required, but candidates must have prior paid experience performing human data work for AI models. Using tools such as ChatGPT in everyday work does not satisfy this requirement.

Candidates must be comfortable working in English and have fluent English proficiency at B2 level or above. Reliable internet access and the ability to begin work promptly are also required.

  • 3 or more years of hands-on CRM and sales operations experience
  • At least 2 years of direct experience with CRM platforms
  • Proven expertise with Salesforce or HubSpot; comparable CRM experience may be considered
  • Prior paid AI data work in annotation, labeling, RLHF, response evaluation, model evaluation, or rubric-based grading
  • Ability to optimize sales processes, implement automations, and maintain CRM data integrity
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze complex business workflows and map processes
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills at B2 level or above
  • Reliable internet access and prompt availability to begin work
  • Software engineering or QA experience with CRM integrations, automations, data migrations, or CRM testing is a plus

Platforms and Skills

Deep experience with one primary CRM platform is sufficient. Experience across additional sales, support, marketing, and commerce tools is highly valued because the project covers a range of real-world CRM operations workflows.

  • Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Close, Apollo, and Salesloft
  • Intercom and Freshdesk
  • Shopify, Crayon, and ClickFunnels
  • CRM operations and sales process evaluation
  • Data labeling, annotation, RLHF, and model evaluation
  • Rubric-based evaluation and text-generation tasks

This opportunity is available to candidates based in the United Kingdom, United States, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chad, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, France, Greece, Iceland, Hungary, India, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, the Philippines, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Morocco, Italy, Jordan, Ireland, and Finland.

Qualified professionals can apply their CRM and sales operations expertise to meaningful AI-training work while working remotely as contractors. The expected project duration is 3 to 6 months, and the listed hourly pay range is $28 to $92.

  • Eligible locations are limited to the countries listed above.
  • English-language work is required.
  • Applications are handled through OpenTrain.
