Create advanced chemistry problems and scenarios based on real computational workflows, then evaluate AI-generated answers for accuracy and reproducibility. The work focuses on established approaches to simulation, modeling, reactions, and thermodynamics.
The duties and qualifications need review before applying.
- Write expert-level problems grounded in computational chemistry workflows.
- Review AI responses against accepted computational practice.
- Give structured written feedback that explains errors and how responses can improve.
- Apply your judgment in areas such as quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, cheminformatics, reaction modeling, or thermodynamic modeling.
What it pays and takes
- Pay: Up to $42 per hour.
- Time: 20+ hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
- Location: Open to candidates in India.
- Work type: Part-time, project-based contract work that can be done remotely alongside another role.
- Education: A PhD in computational, physical, or theoretical chemistry, or an MS plus experience in the pharmaceutical or materials industry.
- Experience: First-author publications or experience running production-scale simulation or DFT workflows.
- Expertise: Depth in quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, cheminformatics, or reaction modeling. Candidates who meet at least two of the three core qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Strong written English and the ability to explain complex chemistry clearly.
- Work style: Attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.
- Helpful experience: Multiple tools such as Gaussian, ORCA, Psi4, VASP, GROMACS, LAMMPS, or RDKit, and production simulation or DFT pipelines in pharmaceutical, materials, or energy research.
