The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Compliance Law AI Training Attorney to review legal and compliance content for AI development. You will assess documents, scenarios, and model-generated legal responses for accuracy, logical soundness, clarity, and alignment with applicable U.S. compliance standards.

This role combines substantive legal analysis with structured feedback. You will help identify legal pitfalls and improve how AI systems reason about nuanced regulatory questions.

What You'll Do

You will contribute legal expertise across document review, evaluation, question answering, and text generation tasks. Your explanations and feedback will support improvements to AI training processes.

• Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents and compliance materials
• Draft detailed explanations, rationales, and responses to complex compliance scenarios
• Evaluate AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, logic, clarity, and regulatory alignment
• Identify ambiguities, legal pitfalls, and opportunities to improve model responses
• Develop scenario-based questions and answers reflecting current compliance-law trends and challenges
• Collaborate remotely with project leads and technical specialists on nuanced regulatory questions
• Provide structured feedback that supports refinement of AI training processes

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school
• Active attorney license in good standing
• Three to 15 years of recent, substantive experience practicing U.S. compliance law
• Current practice of U.S. compliance law
• Ability to assess AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, logic, and regulatory alignment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Careful legal analysis and sound professional judgment
• Ability to explain complex compliance concepts clearly and concisely
