The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Mandarin Audio Recording Expert to create and review high-fidelity recordings for AI training. You will use professional-grade equipment and audio editing software to deliver clean, consistent vocal samples that meet project guidelines and technical standards.

This is entry-level project work in terms of the listed experience level, but it requires real-world audio recording ability and native Mandarin pronunciation. The engagement is a remote, part-time contractor assignment estimated at about 20 hours per week for 1 to 3 months, with flexible scheduling.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for both the vocal performance and the technical quality of submitted files. Careful preparation, organized documentation, and prompt communication will help ensure recordings are ready for use in AI training projects.

• Create and deliver high-fidelity Mandarin audio recordings using professional-grade equipment
• Follow project guidelines for audio quality, clarity, and consistency
• Prepare recording environments to reduce background noise and improve sound fidelity
• Provide varied vocal samples, tones, and pronunciations
• Review, edit, and submit finalized recordings that meet technical and linguistic standards
• Communicate promptly and professionally with the project team

Requirements

You should have native Mandarin pronunciation with clear, accurate delivery and professional experience in voice-over, narration, studio work, podcasting, music, or similar audio recording. The role also requires comfort with professional recording equipment and editing software, along with the ability to consistently meet detailed quality standards.
