The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Cantonese Audio Transcription Expert to support AI training through accurate transcription and annotation of Cantonese and English audio. You will review automated transcripts, identify accents and contextual nuances, resolve unclear content, and deliver polished time-stamped transcripts that meet linguistic, formatting, and quality standards.

What You'll Do
You will transcribe and annotate Cantonese and English audio recordings with accuracy and consistency. You will compare automated transcriptions with the source audio, apply linguistic and project guidelines, and produce clean transcripts in the required format.
You will also provide linguistic insights that strengthen AI training data, collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities, and submit completed assignments according to project timelines and milestones.

Create accurate, time-stamped transcripts

Requirements
You should have native Cantonese proficiency and a strong understanding of regional dialect variations. Professional audio transcription experience involving Cantonese and English content is required, along with the ability to recognize linguistic nuance, accents, and contextual cues.
You must be able to type in both traditional and simplified Chinese and be familiar with transcription tools and audio playback software. The role also requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, clear written and verbal communication, independent work habits, and the ability to deliver high-quality remote assignments.
Native Cantonese proficiency
