The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an expert CAD contributor with hands-on experience using at least one professional CAD platform and detailed knowledge of manufacturing. You will assess manufacturing processes and techniques, review and refine AI-generated recommendations, and create and validate detailed rubrics for measuring process accuracy and efficiency.
Prior experience working with AI is not required. The role is suited to an experienced CAD, CAM, or digital manufacturing professional who can communicate clearly and apply strong technical judgment.

What You'll Do
Your work will combine manufacturing expertise with structured AI evaluation. You will help determine whether AI-generated guidance reflects sound production methods and whether it meets clearly defined standards for process quality and efficiency.

Requirements
Applicants must have hands-on experience with at least one CAD platform and detailed manufacturing knowledge. Strong written and verbal English communication is required, along with the ability to make and explain technically sound judgments.
Preferred experience includes Autodesk tools, CAM, CNC machining, digital manufacturing, Python, AI-assisted workflows, or evaluation rubrics. These are preferred rather than required, and prior AI experience is not necessary.
- Hands-on experience with Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, CATIA, Creo, or another CAD platform
- Relevant CAD, CAM, and digital manufacturing workflow experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
