The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a CAD and Simulation Consultant with expertise spanning aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering. You will support AI training work involving CAD models, simulation outputs, and engineering problem statements.

What You'll Do

• Write or improve expert responses and explain your reasoning clearly

• Explain judgments so feedback can improve model behavior
• Maintain consistency and quality across repeated review tasks

• Validate simulation results analytically

Requirements

Applicants should bring substantial real-world knowledge of CAD engineering, simulation workflows, and at least one electrical engineering specialization. You must be comfortable working independently, following detailed instructions, and translating technical judgments into precise written feedback.

• At least 10 years of CAD engineering and simulation-focused experience
• Practical proficiency with a relevant engineering simulation or CAD tool
• Expertise in at least one electrical engineering area, such as circuit analysis, power systems, controls, or electronics design
• Relevant professional, academic, or subject-matter expertise in CAD modeling and engineering simulation workflows
• Fluency in English
• Strong written communication and careful attention to detail
• Ability to follow detailed project instructions and apply rubrics consistently
• Ability to work independently on remote contractor tasks

Schedule and Compensation

This project requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and allows up to 40 hours per week. You must be available for at least four hours of overlap with Pacific Time.
